Savvy was formed in April, 2004 by Christine LeMaire after holding extensive auditions with over 400 talented kids. Savvy was formed as a concept group, in that, as time passes members would have the option to leave the group to work on solo careers, go to college, or follow whatever dreams they pursued. These artists began spending 6 hours a day, 5 days a week training in singing, dancing and acting. On July 4, 2004 they had their first public performance at the Red, White & Blue Festival in The Woodlands, Texas. They were a huge hit, and their journey was set for the stars. In September 2004 the group headed to Toronto, Canada to begin work on their first CD, "The Road To Fame," with Justin Gray of Big Boom Entertainment. Justin and his Grammy award winning writing team produced a great CD filled with positive lyrics and cool dance beats that kids love. The CD was released in 2005 and won the iParenting Award. Today the CD still sells on I-Tunes and through this website. In June 2005, Savvy traveled to Hollywood to film their DVD "Every Body Moves," to kick off their 8 month national tour, which included Radio Disney's "Feeling Groovy" mall tour. Since 2005 Savvy has performed over 400 live concerts throughout the nation, winning the hearts of fans everywhere. In 2006 Savvy also filmed a TV trailer "So You Want To Go?" and began hosting episodes for the internationally acclaimed Discovery Channel series "So You Want To Be?" In 2007, Ron Stern became a full partner with Christine. As managing partners, their vision for Savvy expanded to moving the group onto a developmental quest to get on a television track. While attending a national television convention in Las Vegas, Savvy was introduced to Doreen Spicer, creator and writer of the Disney Channel's movie, "JUMP IN," and series "The Proud Family." Doreen later traveled to Texas to spend time with Savvy and was not only impressed with their talents and work ethics, but fell in love with their spirits. In June of 2007 Savvy recorded "Let's Go" and filmed their music video which was written and directed by Doreen. She also decided that her next television project would be created and written for Savvy. In August 2008, Savvy filmed the pilot episode for the upcoming television series, "The Wannabes." Created and written by Doreen Spicer, she brought an L.A. team of experts to Texas to work on "The Wannabes" television project with her. Eric Dean Seaton who has directed countless episodes for the Disney Channel, including "Sonny with a Chance," "That's So Raven," Cory In The House, just to name a few directed the pilot. Richard Lyons, "on-set acting coach to the stars," including clients such Shia LaBeouf, Chris Brown, Usher, and Academy Award Winners Queen Latifah and Jennifer Hudson was on-set as Savvy's acting coach. Needless to say the pilot is amazingly funny and interesting. Kids and teens around the globe will fall in love with Savvy as "The Wannabes". As part of the pilot, Savvy also filmed their new music video for "Bright Lights", produced by Michael Grant; written by Michael Grant and Savvy.
